Hi, I'm Shane Peterson — the hands, heart, and sawdust behind Peterson Woodsmith.

What started as a passion for working with wood has grown into a small business built on one simple idea: that handcrafted pieces made with real care and quality materials are worth having in your home.

Every item you see in this shop is made by hand, one at a time. No two pieces are exactly alike — the natural grain, knots, and texture of the wood make each one unique.

The Wood We Work With

We work with multiple species of wood depending on the project — including pine, cedar, oak, walnut, and more. Each species brings its own character, grain, and finish, and we're happy to work with your preference. Just reach out and we'll find the right fit for your piece.

Made to Order

Most of my pieces are made to order, which means your item is crafted fresh when you place your order. I take pride in the details — from the finish and paint to the hardware and final seal — because I want every piece to feel like it was made just for you. (Because it was.)
